What it can do

  • Selects parts by class, profile, material, phase, saved filter or GUID, then reads or edits their properties and user-defined attributes.
  • Inserts, modifies and removes Tekla components on the selection, mapping plain names such as "concrete cover thickness" to component attributes, with a lifting-anchor handler that places anchors from the element's weight and centre of gravity.
  • Runs clash checks, report templates and macros, and places beams, columns, panels and slabs.
  • Lists, updates, issues, prints and exports drawings, and checks open drawings for unmarked objects and unattached dimensions.
  • Exposes catalogs, phases, grids, filters and your own project context notes as MCP resources.

Limitations

  • Tekla Structures must be running with a model open, and the server must point at its bin folder.
  • Five JSON configuration files have to be copied from samples and adapted to your Tekla classes and component catalog before first use.
  • A Python package named clr can clash with the .NET bridge; the quickstart says to rename or delete it.

Install

MCP servers and skills run code on your computer. Review the source before installing.

AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
