What it can do

  • Connects to a bridge workbench in FreeCAD over XML-RPC or a JSON socket, or runs FreeCAD headless; an embedded mode imports FreeCAD directly on Linux.
  • Groups tools for execution and debugging, documents, primitives, object management, PartDesign sketches, patterns and edges, views, undo and redo, import and export, macros and the parts library.
  • Requires pairing the server and the bridge under the same operating-system user before Python execution is accepted.
  • Publishes a Docker image for running the server on Docker Desktop.

Limitations

  • Embedded mode crashes on macOS; use XML-RPC or socket mode there.
  • The Docker set-up doesn't work on Docker Engine for Linux, because the bridge listens on loopback only.

Install

MCP servers and skills run code on your computer. Review the source before installing.
