What it can do
- Groups its functions into eight tools (drawing, entity, layer, block, annotation, P&ID, view, system) that work the same on either backend.
- Runs any AutoLISP expression you pass it through an execute_lisp operation, so the agent isn't limited to the built-in commands.
- Sends commands to AutoCAD without stealing window focus and returns screenshots even when AutoCAD is minimised.
- Applies journaled revision batches to an existing DWG (layer renames, colour and lineweight patches, revision clouds, block attribute updates) and records before and after values.
- Places P&ID symbols from the CAD Tools Online library and draws process lines, tags and line numbers.
Limitations
- The live backend needs Windows and AutoCAD LT 2024 or later; LT for Mac has no AutoLISP, and the README documents LT rather than full AutoCAD.
- You load mcp_dispatch.lsp into AutoCAD with APPLOAD (or the Startup Suite) before the server can reach it.
- P&ID symbol tools need the separately licensed CAD Tools Online symbol library; offset, fillet and chamfer are not available headlessly.
- Revision journals are a record, not automatic rollback; the author advises working on a copy and checking screenshots after every batch.
