What it can do
- Creates and edits curves, surfaces and solids, including lofts, sweeps and booleans, and manages layers and object attributes.
- Searches installed Grasshopper components, places and wires them, sets sliders and reads solved outputs, or builds a whole graph in one batched call.
- Captures the viewport and measures lengths, areas and volumes so the agent works from what is on screen.
- Falls back to native Rhino commands, RhinoScript-Python or RhinoCommon C# for anything the named tools don't cover.
Limitations
- You start the TCP bridge in each Rhino session with the mcpstart command.
- Run only one RhinoMCP server at a time across your AI clients.
- The Python server, Rhino plugin and AI client update separately; the server warns when versions differ.
