What it can do

  • Splits the work between a stdio sidecar that validates inputs and a bridge that runs NXOpen calls on NX's main thread over an authenticated loopback connection.
  • Creates, opens, saves and closes parts, draws sketch lines and rectangles, extrudes, and exports STEP.
  • Lists sketches, bodies and features, and can undo the last operation and fit the view.
  • Offers an interactive C# bridge that keeps the NX window usable, or a blocking Python batch bridge.

Limitations

  • Development preview (0.2.0.dev0); release acceptance on both bridges is still pending.
  • Loading the unsigned C# bridge needs an NX Open .NET author licence, or signing with SignDotNet.exe.
  • Geometry inputs use the work part's native units.
