su2-mcp
MCP serverCommunity
Runs SU2 from an agent: edits .cfg files, meshes STEP geometry with gmsh, runs SU2_CFD and SU2_DEF and reads the results. By Design Research Collective, Carnegie Mellon University (cmudrc).

What it can do
- Gives each session its own working directory, uploads meshes and keeps MESH_FILENAME in step.
- Reads, parses and updates SU2 .cfg files, and converts STEP geometry to an SU2 mesh with gmsh.
- Wraps SU2_CFD and SU2_DEF with timeout and missing-binary handling, and reports which SU2 binaries are available.
- Lists and downloads result files, parses history CSV and samples surface data.
- A CPACS adapter runs Euler cases for an aircraft pipeline and writes CL, CD and L/D back to the CPACS file, with mesh-refinement presets.
Limitations
- Version 0.1.0 on PyPI; the README installs from source.
- Solver tools need SU2 binaries on PATH and meshing needs gmsh on PATH; the package itself is pure Python.
- The CPACS pipeline currently runs Euler (inviscid) cases.
