What it can do
- Manages the cycle lifecycle and lets the agent inspect and update variables.
- Runs the model, performs sweeps and evaluates total derivatives through OpenMDAO.
- Validates inputs with Pydantic and returns structured errors.
- A CPACS adapter runs a turbofan cycle and writes net thrust, TSFC, OPR, BPR and fuel flow back for an aircraft pipeline, with a design-thrust override for engine sizing.
Limitations
- Covers pyCycle engine-cycle models only, not general OpenMDAO problems.
- Requires Python 3.12 or later; tested examples are deterministic stand-ins that don't need a full pyCycle runtime.
Install
python3 -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
make devpycycle-mcp --transport stdioMCP servers and skills run code on your computer. Review the source before installing.
