What it can do
- Browses the open model database (sites, children, name search) and reads attributes such as position and orientation in owner coordinates.
- Creates elements, boxes, cylinders, tori, extrusions and closed triangular polyhedra, and sets attributes; deletes only when you repeat the exact element path.
- Imports a Revit 2026 element mesh as new equipment in a zone, reading it straight from a RevitMCP add-in pipe and checking the placed position.
- Leaves every change unsaved until you call save_work with a comment.
Limitations
- You must build both projects yourself with the .NET 8 SDK and AVEVA's UE 4.1 customisation environment, then register the CAF add-in in UE.
- Talks to a running, licensed Unified Engineering session through a named pipe on the same Windows machine.
- No licence file, and the build scripts copy the add-in to a hard-coded D:\MyUE\addins folder.
Install
.\build-debug.ps1
.\build-release.ps1Open the repository as the workspace, build the server and enable the aveva-unified-engineering server from the included .vscode/mcp.json. Start UE with the CAF add-in loaded first.Source: github.com/audunopdal/AvevaMCP#configure-the-mcp-client
