  • Data Exchange module (CSV, tab-delimited, SKM XML) (Input files): SKM lists Data Exchange as one of its PTW modules, for automating work with other software. It imports and exports equipment data and connections as tab-delimited text, CSV or SKM XML, lets you map fields in its own interface, and has documented round trips with Autodesk Revit and SmartPlant Electrical. After import, the usual PTW studies (load flow, fault, arc flash, coordination, harmonics) run on the data. An agent could prepare or check those files, but nothing drives PTW itself. Documentation

What SKM offers

SKM's site lists PTW 11.0.1.1, Auto Design, the SKM Mobile app and MySKM Cloud as recent releases, and its product and Data Exchange pages mention no AI assistant, scripting API or MCP. Treat SKM PowerTools as having no vendor AI offering and no programmable interface beyond file exchange as of this check.

What an integration for SKM PowerTools could do

  • Generate a Data Exchange CSV or SKM XML file of buses, cables and protective devices from a design spreadsheet, ready to import into PTW.
  • Check an exported equipment file for missing ratings or inconsistent connections before an arc flash or coordination study.
  • Compare equipment data exported from Revit with the SKM project after a Data Exchange round trip and list the differences.
