What it can do
- Answers Windchill how-to and troubleshooting questions from the Windchill Help Center and PTC Technical Support articles.
- Answers questions about, searches and summarises documents indexed in the assistant's document vault.
- Uses the same authentication as Windchill REST APIs (Basic or SSO), so users see only content they are authorised to read.
Limitations
- Does not read or change parts, BOMs or other Windchill PLM data.
- Some clients, including Claude Desktop and VS Code, may not complete Windchill SSO directly; PTC suggests an extension, a local reverse proxy or a custom client.
- Available tools depend on the plugin configuration and the user's licence.
