What it can do
- Encodes NeqSim API patterns, decision rules and reference data for topics such as phase envelopes, distillation design, TEG and acid gas treating, depressurisation and MDMT, LNG liquefaction, flow assurance and equipment cost estimation.
- Pairs the skills with agent definitions in .github/agents, such as a task-solving agent that sets up a task folder, runs NeqSim and writes a Word and HTML report.
- Loads automatically for agents working inside a NeqSim checkout; the neqsim CLI can export copies for VS Code Copilot or a generic manifest for other agents.
Limitations
- The skills guide the agent in writing and checking NeqSim code; calculations still run through NeqSim in Python or Java, or through the NeqSim MCP server.
- The full workflow set-up in the README is a Windows PowerShell script that also builds NeqSim with Maven and needs a JDK.
