What it can do

  • Creates and saves CATParts and CATProducts, sketches with constraints, and Part Design features such as pad, pocket, shaft, groove, hole, shell, draft and patterns.
  • Builds Generative Shape Design wireframe and surfaces, including multi-section surfaces, sweeps, fills, blends, joins and trims.
  • Adds assembly constraints, measures distance, inertia and bounding boxes, and edits parameters, formulas and design tables.
  • Exports STEP, IGES, STL, 3DXML and VRML, and creates drawings with generative views (experimental).
  • Can run in HTTP mode with a token on the CATIA PC so the agent can sit on a Mac or another machine.

Limitations

  • Windows only, because it uses CATIA's COM automation.
  • 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA is not supported; the author lists it as a wanted contribution.
  • Avoid switching the active document while a tool call is running.
