What it can do

  • Clones any of about 260 tutorials or your own case and edits dictionaries through OpenFOAM's own foamDictionary, instead of shipping canned scenarios.
  • Runs meshing and solvers as detached jobs that survive restarts, with residual trends, convergence verdicts, ETA and extracted FOAM FATAL ERROR blocks.
  • Decomposes and runs in parallel with np=N, and reads field statistics and postProcessing tables, including binary fields.
  • Returns ParaView renders (slices, patches, streamlines, iso-surfaces) and residual or force plots as images; 25 tools in all.
  • Confines file access to the workspace and runs only OpenFOAM applications or case-local All* scripts, with read-only and destructive hints for clients.

Limitations

  • Not a sandbox; case scripts and coded boundary conditions can run arbitrary code, so the author suggests --no-scripts for untrusted cases.
  • Native Windows OpenFOAM builds aren't supported; Windows clients reach OpenFOAM inside WSL2.
  • Images need ParaView with Python, and parallel runs need OpenMPI.
