What it can do
- Runs a bundled Python helper that solves closed, adiabatic ideal-gas reactors at constant volume and constant pressure and reports a temperature-based ignition delay.
- Records the mechanism source and hash, checks that species exist in the mechanism and runs conservation checks, then asks the agent to refine the time step when the delay moves.
- Ships a hydrogen and oxygen example config built on Cantera's bundled h2o2.yaml mechanism to copy and edit.
Limitations
- Covers homogeneous ignition only; the skill says it is not a flame solver or a general reactor network builder.
- It is one of 177 skills in a collection aimed mainly at biology and chemistry research; the other skills don't target Cantera.
- A completed run shows the numbers converged, not that the mechanism suits your fuel or conditions.
