What it can do

  • Gives each calculation its own tool with validated inputs, covering oil and gas PVT, brine and CO2 solubility, IPR, VLP and operating point, decline curves, material balance and geomechanics.
  • Generates ECLIPSE-style tables such as PVTO, PVDG, PVTW, SWOF and SGOF, AQUTAB influence functions and VFPPROD or VFPINJ lift tables.
  • Switches between field and metric (ECLIPSE METRIC) units with a flag on each tool.
  • Ships a companion skill that lists exact parameter names and valid method codes for the tools.

Limitations

  • Pinned to pyResToolbox v3.0.4; some library functions are only used internally and not exposed as tools.
  • Correlation-based calculators only; it doesn't run or read a reservoir simulator.
  • Claude Desktop needs absolute paths to uv and the project folder in its config.
