What it can do
- Tells the agent to look up the OpenMC user guide and API docs before writing any API call, rather than generating it from memory.
- Includes templates for a pin cell, a fuel-assembly lattice, common tally setups and a depletion run.
- Provides helper scripts that check whether an OpenMC class or function exists and find the documentation page for a topic.
Limitations
- Expects an OpenMC source and documentation checkout on disk; the author's default path is a Windows folder you need to change in SKILL.md.
- The README gives no exact install command, only "copy to your Claude Code skills directory".
- A small personal project with no releases.
Install
Copy the openmc-api folder into your Claude Code skills directory, set the OpenMC source and documentation paths in SKILL.md, and restart Claude Code.Source: github.com/cn-skywalker/claude-openmc-skills#usage-with-claude-code
MCP servers and skills run code on your computer. Review the source before installing.
